Established in 1960, Sungan Machinery has offered dedicated engineering, process services, and manufacturing to the printing and converting industry for more than 45 years. The solid foundation of our company can be found in two generations of family operated business.

This company has continued to grow under the name of “SAM” becoming a leading international supplier of rotogravure printing and converting machinery. SAM successfully exports to many countries within the expanding markets of Asia. Since 1986, SAM has exported more than 288 machines to over 20 nations, with a special focus on the Asian markets. With current annual sales of $25m US, SAM is able to supply companies such as SAM SUNG, LG, Avery Dennison, 3M, Alcan and Huhtamaki to name only a few.

Since late 2004, SAM has shifted its focus to the U.S. market. We have established a local sales and service network in cooperation with Circonix for total electrical control, Diamond for extruders, and Cloeren Inc. for extrusion dies and feed block systems.

SAM is an engineering and manufacturing specialist dedicated to serving the converting and printing industry. Our business ranges from the supply of new converting and printing machines to total project management of customized engineering.

SAM has designed and built high speed web fed machines, capable of non-stop production for flexible packaging materials. SAM has unique technology relating to the following: flying splice unwind and rewind systems along with associated web tension control, computer simulated dryers, and ultra thin film coatings.

SAM is also shifting its focus to film coating for IT products like display panel and RFID, staying ahead of changing industry trends and emerging as a market leader in the field.
